Abstract

Since the replacement of carbonyl by methylene at position 2 in 5-ethyl-5-phenylbarbituric acid gave a compound'which still possessed anticonvulsant properties, it seemed of interest to prepare analogs with methylene groups at positions 4 and 6 in the ring.
