Abstract 3-Arylsulfonylaminopyrazole-4-carboxamides and-carboxylates were synthesized from 3-arylsulfonylamino-3-methylthiocyanoacrylate derivatives as potential herbicidal inhibitors of the enzyme acetohydroxyacetic acid synthase (AHAS).
