Abstract Microwave-assisted Rh–diphosphane-complex-catalyzed dual catalysis is reported. This cooperative process provides [2+ 2+ 1] cycloadducts by sequential decarbonylation of aldehyde or formate and carbonylation of enynes within a short period of time.
