Abstract

Schiff bases derived from 2-vinyloxyethylamine and carbonyl compounds are promising nitrogen- containing monomers and starting materials in the synthesis of biologically active substances [1, 2]. However, such Schiff bases were prepared only from ketones and aromatic aldehydes. Presumably, this is explained by the relatively low stability of aliphatic Schiff bases [3].
