The photophysical properties of N-(α-naphthyl)-benzimidazole (α-NABI), N-(β-naphthyl)- benzimidazole (β-NABI) and N-(α-pyridyl)-benzimidazole (α-PYBI) were studied and α-NYBI exhibit intramolecular charge transfer fluorescence in polar solvents.
