Abstract

Previously, from the epigeal part and seeds of Diptychocarpus strictus (Fisch.) Trautv., an optically active liquid base was isolated [i], which was called diptocarpilidine and had the composition CsHIsNO (I), bp 193-194=C (4 mm), readily soluble in acetone, chloroform~ acetone, and ethanol and less readily in hexane and petroleum ether.
