The synthesis and reaction behavior of pentacoordinate hydrochlorosilanes LCH2SiRHCl (L- 2-piperidonyl ligand, R= Me, Ph, Bn) are described. The intramolecular O–Si and N–Si coordination is discussed on the basis of the NMR data.
