Abstract

Abstract Two series of neopentylbenzenes with one or two substituents on the benzyl group have been synthesized. In one series the substituents were H, F, Cl, Br, I, OCH 3, OCOCH 3, OSi (CH 3) 3 CH 3 and CH 2 CH 3, and in the other OH and R [R [BOND] H, CH 3, CH 2 CH 3,(CH 2) 3 CH 3, CH (CH 3) 2 and C (CH 3) 3].
