Abstract A number of (substituted-methylamino) triphenylphosphonium salts (APS) with the general formula [Ph3P+ N (R) CH2R'] X− has been synthesized. CH-Acidity of some of the APS obtained has been measured (pK 14.7-24.8) by an indicator method in DMSO/counterion-K+, standard-9-phenyl fluorene (pK 18.5)/.
