Abstract The synthesis of the potential bridging ligand (C 6 H 5) 2 PCH 2 CH 2 Si (CH 3) 2 C 5 H 4 (3) is described. The ferrocene (6 derived from 3 has been found to form macrocyclic complexes with metal fragments NiCl 2, NiBr 2, and Co 2 (CO) 6.
