Abstract: Ebullioscopic molecular weight and conductance measurements were carried out on LiAIH4, LiBH4, and several alkoxy derivatives of these hydrides in tetrahydrofuran and diethyl ether. The results in tetrahydrofuran are consistent with the formation of ion pairs and triple ions for LiAlH4, NaA1H4, LiBH4, and for the larger substituent alkoxy derivatives of LiAlH4 and LiBH4.
