Results.-We have found that the addition of thiols and more particularly trifluoromethancthiol to tetrafluoroethylene, chlorotrifluoroethyltne, trifluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene, 1, l- difluoroethylene and trifluorovinyl methyl ether (all terminal fluoroolcfins) proceeds smoothly under the influence of ultraviolet radiation or X-rays.
