Studies on the carbometalation of several alkynols, using bis (cyclopentadieny1)-and bis ( methylcyc1opentadieny1) titanium dichloride-organoalane systems, are reported. Alkynols of three types were examined:(1) HO (CH,), C= CH, n= 2, 3, 4;(2) HOCHRCH, C= CH, R= CH,, CzH,; and (3) HOCHzCHzC= CR, R= CH,, C2H5.
