Abstract

Abstract A novel, efficient, and operationally simple one-pot synthesis of both, symmetrical and unsymmetrical N-acylureas from carboxamides and in situ generated isocyanates (from N, N-dibromo-p-toluenesulfonamide) in the presence of a mild base at rt is reported.
