Abstract

The preparation of phenylsulphonyl oxirane (1) has recently furan (THF) at-102" C with n- butyl-lithium (1.8 mol equiv.) been described.'Due to the well-known anion stabilising gave a stable pale yellow solution of the corresponding lithio properties of the phenylsulphonyl group,* J and to the anion.
