Abstract

The reactions of oxygen atoms and substituted methylsilanes have been investigated in argon matrices at 14-17 K. Products were identified by using isotopic la03 precursor and deuterium substitution in the Si-H bonds. With MeSiH,, MezSiHz, and Si2H,, the silanols MeSiH, OH, MezSiHOH, and SiH3SiH20H were formed, respectively.
