Abstract Ausgehend von Adamantandion-(4.8)-carbonsäure-(2)-methylester wurde in einer 7-Stufen-Reaktion Adamantantrion-(2.4. 6) erhalten. Die Säurespaltung dieses Triketons lieferte 1-[2-Carboxy-äthyl]-cyclohexanon-(2)-carbonsäure-(5), deren Konstitution durch eine unabhängige Synthese sichergestellt wurde.
