Abstract The compound tetra (pyrrolidino) diborane (4)(3) is an important new and alternative precursor for the preparation and synthesis of bis (pinacolato) diborane (4). The latter is the major intermediate among the diborane derivatives used for many addition and insertion reactions into multiple bonds.
