Abstract

We report, herein, the design, synthesis, and properties of new materials directed toward molecular electronics. A transition metal-containing insulated molecular wire was synthesized through the coordination polymerization of a Ru (II) porphyrin with an insulated bridging ligand of well-defined structure.
