Abstract

Two novel and closely related tannins, designated as acutissimins A (1) and B (2), have been isolated from various Fagaceous plants: Quercus acutissima, Q. miyagii, Q. stenophylla, Q. mongolica var. grosseserrata and Castanea crenata.
