It is shown that lyotropic liquid crystal mixtures made of poly-γ-benzyl-l-glutamate (PBLG) dissolved in N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) are efficient anisotropic NMR solvents to distinguish the enantiomers of chiral amines through the effects of the differential ordering of enantiomers.
