Abstract

Results Cyclopropylcarbinyl thiocyanate (1) was prepared from the corresponding p- toluenesulfonate6 by displacement with potassium thiocyanate in anhydrous acetone. This method afforded material in excess of 98% purity. Further purification was effected by reaction of the isothiocyanate impurities with n-butylamine followed by preparative gc separation of the remaining thiocyanates.
