Anal. Calcd. for C2&1402NCI: C, 71.53; H, 4.20; N, 4.17. Found: C, 71.42; H, 4.22; N, 4.17. The brown sirup was processed in a manner analogous to that used for the 8-chloro isomer but no crystalline hydrochloride was obtained. Attempts to distil the product led to decomposition.
