Diprotin B is a dipeptidyl aminopeptidase IV (DPP IV) inhibitor. The apparent competitive inhibition of DPP-IV by the diprotins is a kinetic artifact, derived from the substrate-like nature of tripeptides containing a penultimate proline residue[1][2].
